Royce parties with the president

The president hosted his first State Dinner for the Indian prime minister.
Rep. Ed Royce and his wife Marie were one of a handful of Republicans who got to party down with the president last night at President Barack Obama’s first State Dinner.
Royce, R-Fullerton, undoubtedly got invited to the gala inside a huge tent on the South Lawn of the White House because of his position as co-chair of the Congressional Caucus on India.
Honored last night with this dinner were Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife, Gursharan Kaur.
“It was hard to get people to take their seats,’’ Royce said, as people tabled-hopped so they could see and be seen.

The guest list was a cross-section of Indian-Americans, politicians, Hollywood types and even a couple of media celebrities. It included Steven Spielberg, Katie Couric, CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Click here to read the guest list.
The evening was the ultimate in networking for Royce, who even used his time on the receiving line to ask Obama to intervene in making sure that Thailand turns over Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout to the U.S. to be tried as a terrorist conspirator.
As expected, the politicians invited were heavy on Democrats, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and even aw congresswoman named Sanchez. But it wasn’t Orange County’s Loretta Sanchez. Her sister, Rep. Linda Sanchez, who represents nearby Lakewood was there with her husband, Jim Sullivan. Guess it pays to have come out early in the campaign for Obama.
I asked Royce who he hung out with at this Democratic-rich party. He said the GOPers stuck together.
“I spent a lot of time talking to (Louisiana Gov.) Bobby Jindal and his wife,’’ Royce said. Same with Sen. Dick Lugar, R-Ind. Lugar is not only the ranking Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee but he and Obama teamed up to try and combat nuclear weapons proliferation when Obama was a senator
Former Secretary of State Colin Powell also came over for a chat, Royce said.
The White House web site has all the info on which place settings (combination of Eisenhower, Clinton and second Bush) were used, the menu and the entertainment. Headlining was Jennifer Hudson and A.R. Rahman, who won two Oscars last year for his music.
The Indian prime minister is a vegetarian so there were two choices last night – a veggie only main course and one that included vegetables and prawns.

Royce was also a guest at yesterday’s State Department luncheon with the Indian prime minister and said he has been asked to go to India to lobby for legislation for civilian nuclear energy cooperation between the U.S. and India.

Anyone notice that you can’t comment of the “gate crashers” of Obama’s last State Dinner?
I wonder if it has anything to do with the politically incorrect assumption that they were able to WALTZ right into the White House because their last name was… SALAHI???
MMMM…that’s right…Michaele and Tareq Salahi gained access to the most protected “House” in our country. Yet these two, without an invitation or on the guest list, CRASHED THE PARTY.
I’m probably just being a “racist” I guess for bringing up their last name (SALAHI)…but I don’t think so.

Although this computer code was illegally obtained from the Climate Research Unit by hackers, the information is real and Global Warming is a FRAUD. Worse yet, this fraudulent data is the basis for the climate crises predicted by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). It was the basis for Kyoto, for Waxman-Markey, and the same data will be used in Copenhagen in two weeks, and by Kerry-Boxer to promote their 800-page Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act. How sarcastic! The dress was designed by an Indian designer and his factory workers in India spent three weeks making the dress by hand. I’m sure the Prime Minister of India and his wife felt very respected. The dress was absolutely beautiful. You must be a tinge jealous.

Obama has turned to be a lying louse. There is no doubt about that. The evidence is overwhelming. He’s already been caught in literally dozens of lies. But let’s be fair. It isn’t just Obama who will sink the nation. It is the systemic disease inherent in our political system that will end up killing us. The dems and the pubs are merely two sides of the same evil coin. Bush caused more damage to our beloved nation that any other president I can think of in the 20th century. It was practically like putting the enemy of a foreign country in the highest office of the land. But Obama is toeing the line and staying the course. He is George Bush II from what I’ve seen in his first year. He’s a liar. And you simply cannot trust a liar. He will end up doing you in the short and long run. Watch out. He’s slick. He’ll try to fool you. But I’ve already got him figured out.

Fix the Caption. It’s the Indian Prime Minister, not the Indiana Prime Minister. It’s nice to see I am not the only one who makes typos or mistakes.
