Ben Green, bouncer at Sutra Lounge, the Costa Mesa night club hosting the O.C. Dem party, has manned the rope lines at parties with Britney Spears, Snoop Dogg and Paris Hilton.
The biggest Hollywood celebrity at Sutra tonight was Patricia Arquette, star of the TV series “Medium.”
But no crowd has been as jubilant — or pushy, Green said.
“It’s an older crowd, but they’re more rowdy,” said Green, who voted for Obama. “This is the biggest, craziest.”
Green estimated that more than 600 people waited to get inside at the party’s peak, while more than 800 guests packed the inside of the bar, squeezing past each other to get a view of the giant TV screens that sowed Obama’s speech.
Despite the party’s enthusiasm, Green said there were no reports of violence or other misbehavior.
