“‘There’s a place in hell reserved for women who don’t support other women,’” Palin recalled as the quote from former Clinton Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
I’ve gotten an e-note from Albright’s office, noting that the quote is actually, “”There is a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.”
In the note, there’s also a statement from Albright complaining that the quote was out of context and that Barack Obama is the best candidate for those who care about the status of women.
“Though I am flattered that Governor Palin has chosen to cite me as a source of wisdom, what I said had nothing to do with politics,” Albright says. “This is yet another example of McCain and Palin distorting the truth, and all the more reason to remember that this campaign is not about gender, it is about which candidate has an agenda that will improve the lives of all Americans, including women. The truth is, if you care about the status of women in our society and in our troubled economy, the best choice by far is Obama-Biden.”

spammy and propaganda …. but little truth
are enemies are in agreement with ms. albright ….the support of obama…
The fact that she misquoted is funny to me. Not because she said it wrong, but her misquote has a totally different meaning than the original. I support many women, just not that one.
Longhaul’s stupidity is astounding. The use of “are” instead of “Our” right before a second “are” is nothing short of astounding. As far as Sarah Palin goes, the propaganda machine really is disgusting. I can’t believe she’s getting any support, at all.
Your article quotes Albright of accusing Sarah Palin of distorting the truth for using her quote “There’s a place in hell reserved for women who don’t support other women”. As I understand Albright, her quote really means there’s a special place in hell for woman who don’t support Omaba. Does that make him a women. I’m sorry but Albright’s remarks must make Obama wish his supporters were brighter instead of Albrighter.
