New dates for Palin’s O.C. visit

UPDATE: The fundraiser will be at Segerstrom Hall at the O.C. Performing Arts Center
While my previous post relayed a San Francisco Chronicle report that vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin had cancelled her California visit, the campaign tells me that in fact it’s simply been postponed.
The new dates are Saturday, Oct. 4 for the fundraiser and Sunday, Oct. 5 for the the rally. Venues for both events are still being figured out. The “cheap” seats for the fundraiser start at $1,000 $2,300. For reservations and more info on the fundraiser, email california@johnmccain.com
While vice presidential candidates rarely influence the election outcome, an OC Political Pulse poll shows that many think Palin may be an exception.

Why didn’t the OCR cover Palin’s email hack?
Every other paper at least noted and summarized
it for their readers. Because of her use of
non-gov email to escape legal retention
requirements, much like Bush.

Major Variola (ret)
And just how do you know this to be a fact?
How many e-mail accounts do you have?

Major Variola, Mind your own business, before some one hacks into your email account.

Man-oh-man ~ this venue is charging more than even Rick Warren charged! Go, Sarah ~ but, I won’t be there….
September 18th, 2008 at 8:11 pm
She turned out to be a big cotton candy / bubble. To suggest her as a VP is a gross insult to the intelligence of American people. As far as her and her husband avoiding the investigators, it’s Chaney / Carl Rove saga all over again. I wouldn’t pay 50 cents to eat a $50 steak in her lightweight shallow presence !!
September 18th, 2008 at 8:28 pm
Shane shouldn’t hold back like that. Tell us how you really feel! You go Sarah - but make the organizers let in some voters who don’t have the $$ that are being charged.
September 18th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
Shane, if this witch hunt is all you got about Gov. Palin and her husband, you should look into your own candidates past dealings.
Here’s a rock, go ahead and throw it, kettle.
September 18th, 2008 at 8:58 pm
Hey, guys and gals! LOL Yup, the bubble has burst.
Sarah is wearing thin. Maybe she’ll talk about how she can see Russia from Alaska.
September 18th, 2008 at 9:51 pm
I can hardly wait to go to the Sarah Palin fundraiser, $3,000 is a small price to pay for this great opportunity. It will be nice not having movie stars and news reporters around just good hard working people that love America.
September 18th, 2008 at 10:19 pm
To have Obama as Pres is the best the Dems could get from the bottom of the barrel, is a down right embarassment. He says change this and change that,! He could’nt change a diaper. Plan and simple I would rather look at Palin than Obamas Wife……..eeeeeeeeeek.
September 19th, 2008 at 5:45 am
Palin should be our candidate. She will keep America heading in the right direction, keep the Russians in check, and fix the Supreme Court. Plus, like Cheney, she knows how to deal with the idiot libruls that stand in her way. I agree with CaseClosed, $3,000 is a small price to pay to see this superbabe, plus you won’t have to mingle with a bunch of illegals. Who needs movie stars when you have SARAH?
September 19th, 2008 at 8:49 am
I’d rather put my $3,000 into Lehman stock - it would be a greater return on investment.
September 19th, 2008 at 1:33 pm
Iwin08,
What is your idea of the right direction? Traveling on the wrong side of the freeway at 120 miles per hour. That is where this country is going with the Republicans at the wheel.
McCain is irresponsible to think that eliminating earmarks will even make a dent in our debt. It is such a small percentage. Besides, there are important items that earmarks protect such as the National Donor Registry for lukemia and so many more. Bottom line is guys and gals that we got into this mess because of pure greed and deregulation. McCain loves deregulation. Just look at his past speeches. Phil Gram pushed for deregulation and this is what you get when noone is watching the cookie jar. Donald Trump, who for the past 5 years was offering some lame real estate conference at a couple hundred bucks a head, was on Larry King saying that people shouldn’t have bought houses they couldn’t afford and went on to say he was supporting McCain. What a hypocrite. The only options we have is to eliminate the tax cuts for the wealthy. Require that they pay the same amount of taxes on their investments and give a tax cut to the middle class. I have a lot of investments which I’m going to be affected BUT it is what the country has to do. We need more regulation! Just check out your next 401k statement. Two years ago, Barack Obama wrote a bill called the STOP FRAUD ACT in order to prevent exactly what is happening in our financial markets. The republicans stopped it. So if your are going to whine about these bailouts and lost money and your business being slow, say it with a vote for Obama on November 4th. John McCain just doesn’t have the fore thought, after thought or in- between thought to help our economy. (911) His only thought . He has no plan. The only significant jobs that were created over the last 7 years were finanical jobs, gone, construction jobs, gone, service jobs, slowly deteriorating.
Obama/Biden 08
September 19th, 2008 at 2:18 pm
Hey Shannon -
My vote counts just as much as yours! Go McCain/Palin ‘08!
We don’t need Obama’s socialized system where all our taxes are going to go up to 90%.
September 19th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
Ah Jimmy, don’t let facts get in the way of your vote. Good thing it is wasted in California. McCain/Palin (or is it Palin/McCain?) are sinking in the polls as we speak. What other desperate measures can McCain do to regain momentum?
And reading some of the other emails, I thought Republicans didn’t like candidates who were celebrities? Looks like some celebrity worship going on in the Republican Party! Another hypocritical reaction by a Party that will soon be sent to the dustbin of history due to how their previous, clueless minion - Bush - who drove the country down the cliff with irresponsible spending, dangerous deregulation, a non-existent energy policy and an unnecessary war that will cost us trillions.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:49 pm
when, oh when, will we have an intelligence/constitution/current events test for presidential/vice presidential candidates? I had to take more freaking tests to become a teacher than you can imagine (GRE, CBEST, CSET, RICA, Constitution Test, plus all of the exams in my credential and masters), and I can’t even get a job. I’ve had my passport my entire life. I’ve traveled to more foreign countries than Sarah Palin probably knows exist. Hell, I oughta be VP!
Here’s the thing: She is unqualified to be President, and she’s under a bipartisan investigation for ethics/abuse of power. Do you want more of the same? More of the executive thumbing their noses at the American people? That’s what you’ll get, among other things, with the Republican ticket.
Be courageous, think about the future, vote Obama/Biden 08.
September 20th, 2008 at 1:37 am
Hi OC People,
Sarah really has some foreign policy experience: Sarah Palin can see Russia from her house! LOL

PRO-COMMUNIST SENATOR JOE BIDEN (D-DELAWARE): STOP SUPPORTING OPPRESSIVE COMMUNIST VIETNAM BY PUTTING ON HOLD IN THE SENATE THE 2007 VIETNAM HUMAN RIGHTS ACT (H.R. 3096), WHICH WAS ALREADY PASSED BY 414-3 VOTES IN HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
Senator Joe Biden, along with Hanoi John Kerry, Robert Byrd, and Ted Kennedy, is always known as a good friend of communist Vietnam. In 1975, he, along with other democrats such as Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV) and George McGovern (D-SD), denied President Ford’s relief effort for South Vietnam, a long-time U.S. ally who had been promised that aid, sentencing millions of Vietnamese allied with America to a life on the run or in prison or both. In a May 1975 article in the New York Times, Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV) commented that “barmaids, prostitutes and criminals” should be screened out of the flood of refugees from Vietnam as “excludable categories.” Just how did the Good Senator expect anyone to do that? How did he propose to separate the “good Asians” from the “bad Asians”? Maybe the Senator would have used his KKKK rule book as a guide? Senator Joe Biden (D-DE) charged that the (Ford) “Administration had not informed Congress adequately about the number of refugees” — as if anyone actually knew during the chaotic hemorrhage of people seeking help during the evacuation of South Vietnam. “I think the Vietnamese are better off in Vietnam,” George McGovern (D-SD) told Newsweek.
Now, Joe Biden, like Hanoi John Kerry did twice in the past, again supports communist Vietnam by putting on hold 2007 Vietnam Human Rights Act (H.R. 3096) in the Senate, knowing that, it would, otherwise, be easily passed in the Senate as it already was by 414-3 votes in the House of Representatives. In a letter in response to Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), who is the main sponsor of Vietnam Human Rights Act, he explained why he opposed Vietnam Human Rights Act, which will prohibit increased U.S. non-humanitarian assistance to the Government of Vietnam unless there is verifiable evidence that the Vietnamese Government has made substantial progress towards the release of its political and religious prisoners, respecting the right to freedom of religion, returning properties, allowing free and open access to refugee programs, respecting the human rights of members of all ethnic minority groups, and taking appropriate steps to end trafficking in persons. In his opinion, there is no evidence that Vietnam Human Rights Act will promote human rights in Vietnam. If his argument were right, then why have the U.S posed embargoes on other brutal, rogue countries such as Sudan, Cuba, and Myamar? Or is it because communist Vietnam, like its big brother Red China, is too strong and too bad to be punished? In other words, he considers econimic ties with communist Vietnam much more important than human rights values. In fact, most U.S. non-humanitarian assistance to the Government of Vietnam paid by U.S. tax payers has ended up in the pockets of high-ranked members of Vietnam communist party: while corrupt communist leaders such as Prime minister Nguyen tan Dung and President Nguyen minh Triet are billionaires, a regular Vietnamese earns only $1 per day; that is why Vietnam GDP has increased in recent years yet Vietnamese get poorer and poorer due to increasing economic gap between a few corrupt communist leaders and the mass. Because of Joe Biden and other hypocrites’ double-standard view, communist Vietnam, after being admmitted to WTO in 2007, has waged a new crackdown on democracy activists such as Father Nguyen van Ly and lawyers Nguyen van Dai and Le thi Cong Nhan, who were given unfair, harsh sentences of several years for their democracy activities; likewise, communist China, after being granted hosting 2008 Olympics, has waged a new crackdown on Tibetians.

GREAT SHAME ON PRO-COMMUNIST STATE SENATOR ALAN LOWENTHAL (D-LONG BEACH, CA) AND OTHER DEMOCRATS FOR SUPPORTING SP1322 BILL, WHICH ALLOWS MEMBERS OF COMMUNIST PARTY TO WORK AS PUBLIC EMPLOYEES
No accuse for pro-communist senator Alan Lowenthal and other democrats in CA senate and assembly houses who support the SP1322 bill, because communism is undoubtedly a disaster to human kind, causing the death of more than one hundred millions of innocent lives. Moreover, brutal communist regimes in China, North Korea, Cuba, and Vietnam have still strongly violated human rights and have still posed a serious threat to America’s security as in the case of Chinese-born spy Dongfan “Greg” Chung, 72, of California, who took Boeing trade secrets relating to the space shuttle, the C-17 military transport aircraft and the Delta IV rocket for the benefit of China. Alan Lowenthal’s false argument is that because communism is no longer a threat to the U.S., there is no need to ban members of Communist party to work as public employees. If so, why, in the bill he introduced, did he not allow members of Nazi party to work as public employees, which would prompt big protests by the Jews? That is why federal law have prohibited members of Communist/ Nazi party to become U.S. citizens.

Hey Tim,
Ive seen you post this all over the place. Do you really think anyone reads on that on a blog? Try putting in a few sentances and a link. If anyone wants to go to that they will.
Thanks.
As far a Caribou Barbie is concerned. She little to nothing to offer as a candidate. She brings nothing and has nothing to add to McCains now sliding campaign.
As stated before . Obama will win CA I will bet anyone here any amount of money to the contrary. So vote away. Write Bushy in if you like or Mickey Mouse, it will hold the same value.
I like that….Bush/Mouse in 08.

BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA: REAL RACIST, ANTI-AMERICAN AND BIG LIAR!!!
No excuse for Barack Hussein Obama, who, while claiming how “patriotic” he is, has had a close relationship with Rev Wright, who has been his spiritual mentor for some 20 years and officiated at Obama’s wedding and baptized his two daughters and whose racist, anti-Amecian sermons including “God damnn America” and his inflammatory comments that HIV virus was invented by the government as a means of genocide against people of color and that America deserved 9/11 at Trinity United Church of Christ, where Obama attended every Sunday. Why did Obama wait for seven years since 9/11/2001 to denounce Rev Wright’s racist, anti-American remarks and try to distance from him, only after this scandal was disclosed by the media, which would negatively affect his presidential campaign? How could he be comfortable listening to these racist, anti-American comments if he was not racist, anti-American at all? It is quite impossible like a Jew who claimed to be anti-Nazi but enjoyed Adolf Hiler’s racist, anti-semitic speeches. His hatred may come from his muslim root: he, whose father is a muslim Kenyan and his step-father is also a muslim Indonesian, was born as a muslim with a muslim name and spent his childhood from ages 6 to 10 in Indonesia, a muslim state where men are allowed to have up to four wives and women have to wear veils outside.
The following is a list of some of the inflammatory and anti-American comments made by Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., during his sermons at Trinity United Church of Christ.
- September 2001: “The government lied about inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color. The government lied.”
- September 2001: “We bombed Hiroshima. We bombed Nagasaki. And we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon and we never batted an eye.”
- September 2001: “We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because of stuff we have done overseas is now brought back into our own backyard. America is chickens coming home to roost.”
- April 2003: “The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes three-strike laws and wants them to sing God Bless America. No! No No! God damnn America … for killing innocent people. God damnn America for threatening citizens as less than humans. God damnn America as long as she tries to act like she is God and supreme.”
- December 2007: “Barack knows what it means living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich, white people. Hillary would never know that.”
- December 2007: “Hillary ain’t never been called a niggerr. Hillary has never had a people defined as a non-person.”
- Jan. 13, 2008: “Hillary is married to Bill, and Bill has been good to us. No he ain’t! Bill did us, just like he did Monica Lewinsky. He was riding dirty.”
- “Fact number one: We’ve got more black men in prison than there are in college. … Fact number two: Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run.”
- “We are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the exporting of guns and the training of professional killers. … We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God. … We conducted radiation experiments on our own people. … We care nothing about human life if the ends justify the means.
And … And … And! God! Has got! To be sick! Of this shitt!”

Reporters Without Borders’ report on communist Vietnam : AP reporter arrested and beaten by police
(9/19/08). Reporters Without Borders condemns the arrest and mistreatment of Associated Press Hanoi bureau chief Ben Stocking by police while he was covering a peaceful demonstration by Vietnamese Catholics today in Hanoi. A video of his arrest clearly shows police officers forcing him to leave the site of the demonstration. Stocking said the police took his camera and, when he asked for it back, hit him on the head with it and punched him in the face. He spent two and a half hours in a police station and need four stitches to his head afterwards. The Associated Press has asked the Vietnamese authorities to apologize and return Stocking’s camera.

A lot of postings, perhaps someone has already pointed out that if Sen. Obama had a pregnant teenage daughter, with or without the baby’s father having a web page detailing his interests as getting high, shooting things, drinking, and having casual, unprotected sex….this campaign would be over.
Shame on our hypocrisy; gay scandals involving religious and republican leaders who have dedicated their lives to condemning such acts, the sudden embracing of pre-marital juvenile sex, pregnant teenagers, and their career-driven, absentee parents.
Must we loose everything before we can recognize and learn from our mistakes? To err is human, to admit it, divine.
