Loretta Sanchez has not endorsed Obama

July 25th, 2008, 11:11 am · 12 Comments · posted by Martin Wisckol, Politics reporter

loretta-explains.jpgRep. Loretta Sanchez, D-Garden Grove, had been a supporter of Hillary Clinton and has still not endorsed Barack Obama, according to this list of Congressional endorsements from TheHill.com.

“I know nothing about Obama,” Sanchez told the Register in this story about the Latino vote from June. “I look on the Web site. I don’t know what he’s about yet.”

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher is listed as no having endorsed McCain, but supporting him. The remaining OC Congressional representatives have endorsed their party’s presumptive nominee.

UPDATE: I received a clarification from Rohrabacher’s office. ”It is true he has not endorsed McCain but he supports the ‘Republican nominee,’” said Communications Director Tara Olivia Setmayer. “He’s been very deliberate in using that wording.”

I am very disappointed in her statement. What does she want: a call from God?

  • Jimmy says:

How disingenious to say she knows nothing about Obama… He’s the presumtive nominee of her party. Is she that out of touch?

    BTW… Great photo!

I bet she is a real hellcat behind closed doors.

Congratulate. How many of you posters are in Congress? My guess you couldn’t even get elected dog catcher. Loretta works harder for her district then any of the drunks/crooks/weirdos who represent the rest of this county. Listen to me now and think about it later.

Let no doubt that the OC register is Republican through and through.
Could they have chosen a more unappealing, unflattrering photo of Sanchez? How OLD is this photo of her? Could they not find something more current say from this century?
I’m not a fan of Sanchez and she is not my representative.
Cheap ingenious stunts like this, (ugly photos) make the OC register more like a tabloid, ONION like newspaper than a legitimate reporter of news. Dont you have any supervision?

So what is new? Loretta Sanchez isn’t in touch with anyone one except her own agenda. Its time for a change!
    BTW I agree Great photo!

You go girl. He will do us worse then Jimmy Carter.

Loretta Sanchez cares about no one but herself. Rep. Baca called her a “whore.” That may not be true, but she is certainly a homewrecker. She claims to care about the troops and brags about being the senior woman on the Armed Services Committee, but she used that position to seduce her military escort on congressional trips and caused him to leave the Army and his family for her. She also claims to be a Roman Catholic, yet she is pro-abortion and endorses Playboy magazine and its lifestyle. I guess it’s a free country and she can do what she wants, but we deserve better representation in Congress!

Remember that Loretta has been divorced for a long time. Congresswomen are allowed to date and have boyfriends. In any case, her personal life is not an appropriate subject for public debate. Beyond that essential point, please note that the blogger offers no proof of the allegations and her characterizations are patently biased. Tippergrl can’t possibly know the complex human stories or motives of the people involved, even if the basic allegaions are true. How could Loretta “cause” him to leave the military and his family? Perhaps he made these choices freely and is legally divorced or separated as well. Half of all marriages in America end in divorce. We should be slow to judge, even to our (perceived) enemies. “Let he who is without sin among you cast the first stone.” I think we should all stay focused on issues of public importance and have the simple decency to respect Loretta’s privacy.
