We’ve been getting calls all day…and now we have confirmation: A Democratic Party intern got a temporary restraining order against Edgardo Reynoso, Hoa Van Tran’s campaign manager. Courtney Rychel, 22, alleged that Reynoso tried to run her off the road yesterday.
“She was visibly shaken” after the 12:30 p.m. incident yesterday, said Misha Houser, a former Tran staffer who has taken her beefs about Reynoso public. “Friends came to support her and she was granted the TRO.”
Houser said that Reynoso, who was driving a champagne-colored Lexus, harassed Rychel as she was driving north on the 55 and heading onto the ramp that goes to the I-5.
“He tried to drive his car into her lane a couple times to try to run her off the road, while he was screaming cuss words and flipping her off,” Houser said.
Chris Prevatt was with the group at Orange County Superior Court this afternoon and has a post at The Liberal OC.
5 p.m. update — Reynoso denies it all: “It’s a goddamn lie. They are using me as an excuse to sabotage this campaign.”

Here sure does keep his campaign in the news. Way to go Edgardo!
You are a credit to Democrats everywhere, NOT!
Edgardo,
Why don’t you pick on someone your own size. You are a bully and a coward. I hope they can make room for you over at Lacy.
Hoa really hired a nut job.
Not only is he a bully but he has made himself the story instead of his candidate. Are you sure he is being paid by Janet? Maybe Hoa should hire someone better?
First the finance reports, then the attempted murder, now hit and run.
What percentage will Hoa get? My bet is on less than 10% Egardo has just gotten Janet reelected all by himself.
This is disgraceful. It’s time for Edgardo to leave Orange County once and for all. Where in the world is his brother in law in all of this?
Before filing anything against any Tran staffers, the Democratic Party’s Executive Director Melahat Rafiei, should have advised her friend Misha Houser and new intern Courtnery to return stolen property and stop with their false allegations..Those women need to get their stories straight before slandering other people.
Responding to liberalocdem:
I’ve seen Houser’s employment contract with the Tran campaign. The laptop that some have mentioned on the blogs as allegedly stolen was, in fact, part of her compensation package.
Peggy Lowe
Ms. Lowe,
I encourage you to verify that contract with the Hoa Van Tran campaign, I bet it’s probably something that both Ms. Houser and her accomplice Ms. Rafiei whipped up, to justify the stolen property. The only thing these two women have done since day one is harm Hoa’s campaign, and they should be ashamed for not supporting the only Democrat in this race. If I do see more of this behavior from these two women, I will stop my support to the DPOC and contact Mr. Barbaro for allowing this in the party that he has helped build up…and for it to have come down to this….the only thing I can say, is……….SHAME ON YOU!
