The Reg’s court reporter, Larry Welborn, reports today that Master Yi was acquitted of three counts of assault with a firearm in that now-infamous golf course incident. But former Sheriff Mike Carona’s martial arts instructor was convicted of one count of making a criminal threat against another golfer.

Master YI should be found guilty on one count of being a big p###y.
What kind of martial arts “expert” instructor needs to take a gun out on the golf course? A lawsuit of fraud and false advertizing should come from his students for his claim of being able to instruct people in effective method of self defense.
This is the guy Carona said was a casually known Reserve Deputy.
Yet in Yi’s Karate Studio there was an impressive plaque with a huge silver metal Sheriff’s star and a personal thanks from Carona and a photo of them together. And in Carona’s office there was not only the same photo but a photo of Carona and Carona’s son all with Master Yi and all in their karate robes along with martial arts swords.
All of these came down after the golf course incident and suddenly Master Yi bacame “a casually known Reserve Deputy.”
History rewritten once again.
