Supervisor John Moorlach, at the Board of Supervisors meeting, just called for Sheriff Mike Carona to resign, saying that the department can’t enforce laws with confidence of constituents “so long as its head stands accused of violating some of those laws. … It’s his duty to resign.”
Moorlach previously ask fro count Treasurer/Tax Collector Chriss Street to resign.

Mr. Moorlach - This is like deja vous. After you ran and lost to Bob Citron your predictions came true. Same can be said about Lt. Bill Hunt. Since you have been anointed the spokesperson for morality on the Board of Supervisors, you need to see that Lt. Hunt is appointed the next Sheriff.

Fortunately there is at least one voice on the Board who understands the principles of servant leadership, accountablility, and the importance of maintaining confidence and trust in our tax-payer funded institutions. Thank-you, Supervisor Moorlach for your role as guardian in attempting to maintain the public trust. Your wisdom and discernment have been proven - and your continued insight vital for Orange County’s credibility. It is indeed a shame that the Party of family values, moral authority and tradition continues to experience one scandal upon another.
