Nguyen’s Little Saigon office rented

Despite Supe Chris Norby’s public criticism of it, the board just passed a measure, 3-2, setting up a community service center in Supe Janet Nguyen’s district. She won initial approval in July for the Little Saigon office, saying there’s a need for help for the many Vietnamese-speaking residents.
Norby said he doesn’t believe people in the county’s central district need even more service centers as it already holds the county seat. Constituents in his northern district have long commutes to Santa Ana for services, Norby said.
“This is duplicative,” Norby said. “I don’t believe it will improve access.”
The office, at 15460 Magnolia St. in Westminster, will cost the county $5,000 a month. Norby and Supe John Moorlach voted against it.

What do you mean, ” it will cost the county $5000 a month”? It will cost tax payers $5000 a month! This is BS. Westminster is just down the road from Santa Ana. Take the bus. My hard earned taxes already pay for the welfare, and not to mention the social security, that alot of these people didn’t even pay into. Most of them are probably collecting under ten different names and working under the table. We do not need and office in Westminster. What, is this going to be all about the Vietnamese?
