Not that he’s a little nervous here in GOP country or anything…But union guy Nick Berardino’s presser got off to a funny start this morning when one of the TV guys was trying to get a good shot of him. Berardino was in the front of the conference room and standing in front of a screen with a pull-down cord.
TV Guy: “Can you do something about that rope hanging?”
Berardino, with slight quiver in his voice: “A rope hanging?”
Everybody laughed and then somebody pulled the rope/cord up and out of the shot. Berardino finally got it and joined in the laughter.
“Anytime there’s Republican bloggers in the room and somebody says there’s a rope hanging you get a little concerned,” said a relieved-looking Berardino.
