Orange County Register

The state Fair Political Practices Commission this morning approved deals with two Orange County officials who violated elections law. Sheriff Mike Carona is paying a $15,000 fine for improper reporting documentation, which I wrote about here. (You can find the FPPC order here and its report here.)

Assemblyman Bob Huff, R-Diamond Bar — his district includes parts of OC — is paying a $7,000 fine, mostly for not reporting campaign loans on time. FPPC order here and FPPC report here.
