I wasn’t the only one yesterday looking at campaign disclosures in the 35th Senate race. A reader called to note that among Diane Harkey’s donors were clients of her husband Dan’s company, Point Center Mortgage. I rang up Harkey’s campaign manager, Scott Hart, who said that Dan Harkey was the campaign’s finance chairman and had sent 10,000 to 12,000 letters to his company’s “investors” encouraging them to contribute.

“Dan Harkey’s probably got 100,000 investors and if they want to give money, great,” Hart said.
